<p style="text-align:justify">Multicriteria decision making (MCDM) analysis may involve problems dealing with incomplete information. In such instances, the performance ratings of the criteria may be expressed in terms of Intuitionistic fuzzy values. These intuitionistic fuzzy values may then be utilized along with the traditional Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution [TOPSIS] method so as to arrive at the decision where incomplete weight information are given. Using this method, the ranking of order of all alternatives are obtained by calculating the distances to both Intuitionistic fuzzy positive ideal solution (IFPIS) and the Intuitionistic fuzzy negative ideal solution (IFNIS) simultaneously. In this paper, we have discussed the use of Intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFS) in multicriteria decision making (MCDM) analysis and its application to a practical problem in combination with the TOPSIS method.</p>
