Abstract:

An approximate solution of the energy equation of a non-Newtonian fluid past a rotating porous disk has been carried out. The effects of Ekman number, the non-Newtonian parameter. The Prandfl number, Eckert number has been shown through graphs. Unlike flow field it has been noticed that the temperature field is affected by the terms of order d2 but not by the terms of order d when solved by the method of Kelley using Fourier series analysis.
