Abstract :

In this paper, making use of q-derivative formula and certain known results, an attempt has been made to derive some elementary integral representation formulae for basic hypergeometric series which are seemed to be new and in different form. This approach leads us to a family of integral representations formulae.

Radiation effects on fully developed MHD free convective flow through a porous medium in a horizontal channel
Navin Kumar, Tanu Jain and Sandeep Gupta

Department of Mathematics, National Defence Academy, Pune-23 Maharashtra India

Abstract :

The authors have investigated the effects of radiation, heat and mass transfer on an unsteady MHD free convective flow of a viscous incompressible fluid through a porous medium in a horizontal channel with periodic cross-flow velocity. The flow occur in the channel is due to the motion of upper plate. Analytical solutions of the governing equations of fluid flow are found by using small time dependent perturbation technique to be in excellent agreement with analytical prediction. The effects of Hartmann number, heat radiation, free convection and mass transfer on the flow of the fluid are demonstrated through graphs.

On fuzzy compact metric spaces
Parijat Sinha

Department of Mathematics V.S.S.D. College Kanpur India

Abstract :

Here we prove, X is fuzzy compact if every collection of fuzzy closed subsets of X having fuzzy finite intersection property (f.i.p) has non empty intersection. We also define Lebesgue number for an open cover of a fuzzy set and Lebesgue covering lemma for a sequentially compact fuzzy metric space.

Abstract :

In this paper, we discuss that some symmetric digraphs are directed path decomposable. Moreover, it is proved that if m ³ 3, t is odd, 3 £ t £ mn-1, gcd(m(m-1),t) £ m and tm(m-1)n, then Pt+1, a directed path of length t, decomposes (Kmo K), where o denotes the wreath product of graphs. Further, it is proved that if both t and m>=3 are odd, , gcd and ((m(m-1)/2,t) <=m and t(m(m-1)/2)n then Pt+1. decomposes Ko Kn

Abstract :

In this paper we are finding benefit of Transportation cost for Hindustan Petroleum Gas with the help of Transportation Problem (T.P.). Here we are solving T.P. using operation research approach in analysis from the collected data concerning with the transportation with essential item i.e Liquid Petroleum Gas from different suppliers of H.P. gas in Madhya Pradesh to different destination in Vidisha (M.P.). In this survey an attempt has been made to analysis the optimal solution obtained with basic feasible solution obtained using three methods are north west corner method; least cost method; vogel's approximation method and modi method for optimal solution.

Abstract :

Data Envelopment Analysis Technique is used to rank the efficiency performance of a set of homogenous Decision Making Units. The authors have made an attempt to rank the efficiency performance of a selected set of States in India using Annual Survey of Industries data. Variable Returns to Scale methodology is used for identifying the states which are efficient for which the technical efficiency score is unity. The inefficient Decision Making Units are also listed.

Keyword :  Data Envelopment Analysis, Decision Making Unit, Efficiency Scores, Peers, Constant Returns to Scale (CRS), Variable Returns to Scale (VRS).
