Abstract :

The paper deals with the 1-parameter exponential distribution when the observations are progressive type II censored. Using a generalized non-informative prior, Bayes estimators of scale parameter and reliability function are proposed. The proposed estimators are compared with their corresponding MLE's and BLUE's on the besis of a Monte Carlo Simulation study of 1000 samples.

Abstract :

The present paper deals with a theorem on the degree of approximation to a function belonging to the class Lip (a, p), 0 < a £ 1, p > 1 by Kl (E, 1) means of its Fourier series. It extends the result obtained by Tripathi and Prasad11 on the degree approximation to a function f Î Lip a, 0 < a £ 1, by (N, p, q) (E, 1) means of its Fourier series.

System States for a series of finite queue having exponential Distribution
SANDEEP DIXIT
Department of Mathematics V.S.S.D. College, Kanpur (INDIA)
Abstract :

In this paper a method of classifying and enumurating a feasible system states of a series of finite queue having exponential distribution has been described. In this paper we investigate the queueing situation when service times are assumed to be exponential and no specific assumption is made concerning the arrival pattern other than that successive interarrival times are independent and identically distributed. The method utilizes matrix multiplication to combine subsystems or to add extra stations to an existing system Storing the classified states of an L-station system the an L-dimensional array.

Abstract :

M. R. Anderberg (1973) and B. S. Everitt (1993) have developed the cluster Analysis which is a process to decompose the set of objects from a finite set into subgroups or clusters based on similarity. Crisp clustering techniques are classified into 3 groups according to the algorithmic approach as (i) Hierarchical clustering method (ii) Graph-Theoretic clustering method (iii) Objective function based clustering method. Graph-theoretic clustering methods are normally based on some kind of connectivity of the nodes of a graph representing the data set. The fuzzy graph approach is more powerful in cluster analysis than the usual graph-theoretic approach. The concept of fuzzy graph with edges associated with two types of weights were studied before9. In this study a min-max weight of the cut set and min-max edge connectivity are introduced. The clustering technique of narrow slicing procedure2 based on edge connectivity has been adopted for determining -edge components of a fuzzy graph.

Abstract :

Some Bianchi type IX cosmological models with electromagnetic field are investigated in presence of bulk viscous fluid. For the complete determination of the model we assume that expansion (¢) in the model is proportional to the eigen value of the shear tensorThis condition leads to where and n are constants. Also the fluid obey the equation of state p = rg where 0 £ g £ 1. Some physical and geometrical features of the models are also discussed.

Abstract :

In this paper a main theorem on Nörlund summability of Factor, which generalizes a known result on Nörlund summability factors theorem, has been proved. In 1973, Tripathi, L.M. and Prasad K.8 obtained Absolute Nörlund summability factors of Fourier series. In 2002, Rhoades B.E. and Savas Ekrem7 obtained on Absolute Nörlund summability of Fourier series. In this paper, we obtain the comparable result of 8 and7 on the Nörlund summability of factor theorem.

Abstract :

Construction on stochastic models help in accommodating the effect of uncertainty in life science, In this study stochastic models are constructed for the family building components which shows random variation during the time of pregnancy. Such variables selected are Viz: Hemoglobin, Blood pressure upper, Blood pressure lower and Blood sugar. For each one the upper and lower level were obtained from experts and the difference is equally spaced and the Markov-Transition Probability matrix is constructed for each one. The result indicated coincidence between the duration of pregnancy and the convergence of the Markov Transition Probability matrix, For substantiation additional variables Viz: gestation period baby weight were included and a linear multiple regression equation is estimated. The study reveals that Blood pressure (B.P) and Blood sugar control bring cheers in child health.
