Steady MHD flow of a Visco-Elastic fluid Through Horizontal Channel Bounded by Horizontal Plates in Porous Medium in Presence of Transverse Magnetic field
HEMENDRA SARMA

Department of Mathematics, Rangia College, Rangia-781354, Assam (India)

E-mail: hemensarma.nlb@gmail.com

Abstract :

The steady laminar flow of an electrically conducting viscoelastic fluid through horizontal channel, bounded by two horizontal plates, lower being a stretching sheet and the upper being permeable plate bounded by porous medium in presence of transverse magnetic field, has been discussed analytically. The expressions for skin-friction coefficient at both the surfaces have been derived and discussed numerically, their values being presented through table.

Keyword : Visco-elastic, MHD, stretching sheet, stretching Reynolds number, Hartmann number, permeable parameter, skin-friction.

Abstract :

The proposed study analyzes the free convection flow between two vertical walls filled with a porous matrix in presence
of a transverse magnetic field considering the effect of both viscous and Darcy dissipation. The effect of pertinent parameters on the flow field is analyzed with help of graphs.

Abstract :

In this paper, an algorithm for realization of type -I discrete sine transform (DST-I) of length N-1 , whereN= 2m (m= 2,3, 4,....)  N m  , is presented. The DST-I is realized by decomposing it into DST-I of
length 1 2 N  and type-II discrete sine transform (DST-II) of length 2 N
